TEACHING & METHOD
Free the Voice, Embodying the Music
From the Heritage of Bel Canto to "La Voce Assoluta-The Absolute Voice"
About Me
I am currently a tenured Professor of Singing at the Vittadini Conservatory in Pavia. My academic career also includes extensive experience as a former Professor of Renaissance and Baroque Singing at the Corelli Conservatory in Messina, the Giacomantonio Conservatory in Cosenza, and the Respighi Conservatory in Latina, as well as teaching Diction for Singers at the ISSM in Nocera Terinese. My entire life and professional journey have always been deeply rooted in the power of the voice.
To expand my professional horizons, I specialized as a Professional Voice Actress and Dubber at Voice Art Dubbing in Rome. This training opened up a whole new world for me in the art of dubbing—an extraordinary medium where the spoken voice leaves behind music and physical presence to become pure sound with infinite nuances.

My Roots: The Heritage of Fedora Barbieri
The absolute cornerstone of my vocal life was Fedora Barbieri, an unforgettable star of world opera. I will never forget her warmth the first time I, as a very young aspiring student, knocked on her door for the first audition of my life. She opened the door herself—radiant, in sportswear, smiling, volcanic, and deeply welcoming.
She became my first, incommensurable Teacher and Guide. My very first "conscious" sounds were born with her in her home in Florence, where for years I spent hours upon hours studying every possible detail and nuance of the voice and the art that governs it. Under her loving and vibrant guidance, I walked a fundamental part of my journey as a singer. I owe her so much; she lives and dwells within my singing and my heart.
Every day, I bring this immense historical and artistic heritage into my teaching, passing it on to the new generations.
The "La Voce Assoluta" Method & Teaching Philosophy
Alongside my academic career, I created a specialized method for singers, musicians, dancers, and instrumentalists, which I named "La Voce Assoluta" (The Absolute Voice). The purpose of this method is to provide you with the tools to connect with the intimate, profound, and paradoxically silent part of your true sound—freeing it from conditioning, blockages, fears, and self-doubt.
My approach combines a deep knowledge of vocal physiology with a focus on "the body that makes music and becomes music." I integrate techniques of body expression, non-verbal communication, and daily Yoga practice. Yoga helps dissolve the muscle tension that interferes with breathing, empowering the voice on physical, mental, and emotional levels.
Specialized Training & Masterclasses integrated into my path:
-
The Feldenkrais Method (La Nave di Ulisse) | Hatha Yoga & Tai Chi (Chen Style)
-
Corporeal Mime (Étienne Decroux Method) | Basic Actor Training (Jacques Lecoq Method)
-
The Wilfart Method
Working Together: Lessons and Student Approach
I love tailoring and modeling my knowledge to the absolute uniqueness of each student. Vocal profiles are as varied as the people in this world, and every student has their own learning "speed," which must be fully respected.
-
From Technique to Repertoire: I teach vocal technique, breathing, opera singing, interpretation, and repertoire, integrating elements of complementary piano, theory, and solfeggio.
-
The Value of the Word and Diction: Having lived in France, England, and Spain for professional reasons, I am particularly passionate about the correct pronunciation of texts (in Italian, French, English, German, Spanish, and Latin). I believe diction is strictly tied to healthy vocal emission.
-
My motto is: If the audience understands the words you sing, regardless of the language, it means you are singing well !
-
For Professionals: I support established singers in preparing roles, repertoires, auditions, callbacks, and exams, providing top-tier technical guidance.
-
For Beginners: I guide students right from the very beginning of their vocal journey. I deeply care about this delicate phase; establishing the right foundations for vocal technique can truly change an artist's life.
Lessons In-Person and Online (In Italy and Abroad)
I offer lessons, courses, and masterclasses both in-person and online. I work across Italy (Pavia, Milan, Genoa, Turin, Rome, Naples) and in European Union countries such as France, Spain, and Poland, as well as the United Kingdom, training artists of all nationalities and skill levels.
I consider the online format a wonderful opportunity for efficiency, time-saving, and immediacy. In this passionate quest, we must genuinely listen to one another, going beyond any physical or material barrier. Everything can be transmitted from a distance when backed by an effective method, clarity of intent, and a strong passion for sharing what we love.
It is a great privilege for me, and I can never thank my many students enough for gifting me with their trust.
